During the signing ceremony, CU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yahiya Akhter expressed that this initiative will fulfill a major request from students and significantly ease their payment process. He urged bank officials to expedite the implementation to meet students’ needs promptly.

CU Pro-Vice Chancellors Professor Dr. Mohammad Shamim Uddin Khan (Academic) and Professor Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin (Administration) also addressed the event, which was attended by university deans, the registrar, hall provosts, financial officials, and other relevant CU staff.

Representatives from Sonali Bank, including General Manager Mr. Musa Khan, Deputy General Manager Alok Kumar Bal, and Senior Principal Officer Yadav Chandra Das, were also present.

Professor Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin noted that the administration prioritized this initiative after assuming office, and the partnership with Sonali Bank will now allow students to pay fees online. The new system is expected to be operational within two weeks, enabling students to make payments from any location using mobile banking or any bank card.
